They are not supposed to and I would recommend emailing the RT and assistant principal about this.  Unfortunately, this is happening more often because teachers are stretched thin with all the tasks they are being assigned by administration.  Teachers used to be able to focus their time on lesson development, grading and feedback.  Now time is being wasted on useless meetings, documentation of documentation, and focusing a tremendous amount of attention on no show students and those that don't do anything.  Teachers should be posting grades regularly but I see how some fall behind and have a hard time catching up.  [/quote]

I taught and your lower paying similar position doesn't compare. You can help out all you want at our schools, but until you have the actual experience of teaching, you don't know what you are talking about. It is a completely overwhelming job - 60-70 hours per week to keep up with the job. [/quote]
