[/quote] My favorite way to cook fresh cabbage is a cabbage stew/soup. I cut up large chunks of cabbage, sauté onions, and carrots as the base, then add cabbage, some tomato paste, or a can of whole tomatoes, and then cook it for an hour. Sometimes I add beef to this for flavor, then braise beef first and add cabbage at the end. I usually make a large pot, which lasts a few days.[/quote]
