I've had the V8, V11, and now the Gen5. The V11 was definitely an improvement in suction and battery life over the V8 so I imagine the V15 would be just as nice. I bypassed the V15 and went with the newest Gen5 since it just has a button to turn on/off and you don't need to hold the trigger. The laser beam on the hardwood floor attachment is pretty cool - it's horrifying to see the dust and dog hair on what appears to be a clean floor. I wouldn't say it's a "must have" feature though. The suction is def. stronger than the V11 and V8. I think if you were to upgrade, you're fine going with the V11 or V15.
Thank you for this. Please tell me, did you think the laser beam was going to be fun? Or were you like, oh whatever laser beam and then it turned out to be fun? Because I’m on board with the latter but if it’s the former I assume you’re Dr Evil and I don’t want to take vacuum advice from such a man.
I just thought it was a marketing gimmick to be honest but both DH and I were utterly shocked at the fine layer of dust and dog hair across our hardwood floors. Keep in mind, we vacuum multiple times a week with our previous Dyson, Miele and/or Roomba. The amount of stuff the laser illuminated was crazy. If I'm in a rush I just use the regular carpet brush on the wood floors because otherwise that dang light makes me feel like I need to grab every speck. As I said though, I wouldn't have bought it solely for the laser. I honestly went with the Gen5 because I didn't want to have to keep holding the trigger down.
Tyty.
