These "reforms" give more rights to the criminals and in so doing, victimizes the victims over and over. If you live in DC, you are well aware of all of this. [/quote] There has been a lot of progressive activism around "oh go easy on criminals because they are poor and oppressed and can't help themselves" which is largely based on BS and built upon the soft bigotry of low expectations. I point to Charles Allen here in DC and some of the prosecutors around the US as examples of that.[/quote]
