My mahogany table is 36" wide.  My armchair requires at least 24" to be capable of standing from it.  The rig should be symmetrical under the table.

Your table is roughly 4x9.  So if a rectangle, you would need 8 x 13.

I would say a 9x12 rug is too small for your table because your table is almost 9 feet long.  Your chairs, even if dainty, will probably scoot off the edge of the rug when people stand up.  That is bad for the edge of the rug (if fringed).

You may need something more like a 10×13.  Do you have size options?

Map this out on a piece of printable graph paper with little cut out rectangles (1 foot per square).

Also some fancy rug stores will let you test rugs in your home and return.  Plus there are stores that have normal return policies on cheaper rugs.
