Fascism necessarily involves establishing a state religion, which is why I find the trolls posting their “sudden” support for Trump based on the events in the Middle East to be silly beyond belief. Know what you’re supporting. If someone thinks Biden is guilty of “genocide,” Trump isn’t going to be better. If someone thinks that evangelical support for Israel will translate to safety from antisemitism here in the US, they are sorely mistaken. The aims of Christian nationalists are protection of themselves and their rights and that only.

Many people, and I’d say almost all Republicans, have internalized misogyny to such an extent that when women’s rights are chipped away (or rather are hacked away like a back alley abortion), they don’t blink.
