There are so many options. Figure out color of metal you want. Figure out if you want really delicate bracelets, or bangles, or chunky bracelets, or what.  Then figure out how much you want to spend -- you can find awesome bracelets in every budget; you definitely don't need David Yurman or Tiffany or Cartier or whatever. In fact it is way more personal and creative to come up with stacks that don't include that stuff.

I do agree with PP that you should consider whether or not you will be ok with stuff on your wrist. If I have to type, I have to take my Tiffany bracelet off, the heart knocks around and makes noise and generally gets in my way and feels annoying. YMMV.
