That's compete hooey. Courthouse and Rosslyn were rezoned to Yorktown because of the then very high low-income neighborhoods. Same reason why some W-L neighborhoods are a few blocks from Wakefield HS. It was for socio-economic reasons and is not remotely related to Fort Myer. W-L has always been very popular with Fort Myer Families, where the parents serve at at the highest ranks in the military. Colin Powell's kids went to W-L in the 80s. I could see some protest if Fort Myer went back to Wakefield because the fort has very strong ties to W-L. [/quote]
