I appreciate your curiosity and no offense taken. I framed it this way because I am including most other cultures that aren’t American since most share a lot of “old world” values. (I suppose “old world” by American standards.). I also stated it this way to emphasize the dichotomy that we experience. Finally, families experiencing this are not necessarily all immigrants. It can still be felt in 2nd and 3rd gen families as well as multicultural marriages - as we see from some of the PPs here. [/quote]
