[/quote] I agree. As a parent with a rising senior, I've seen the frustration over trying to fit in all the requirements while also creating a schedule that will be competitive for college. Back in my day (sigh), we had a lot of 1 semester classes, so you could try different electives. You could take econ and sociology and marketing. You didn't have to give up an elective spot so that you could take an AP science class. My kid took one summer class so they could get in an elective that was actually interesting. The sequential wasn't a problem for us b/c my kid loved their art class, but had to stop for junior year b/c there just wasn't room anymore.[/quote]
