AAP doesn't start until 3rd so your child will go through the process on the same timeline as kids who haven’t transferred in. If you want them to be considered for “level II services” in 1st and 2nd, contact the AART and fill out a local referral form w the rest of your paperwork. Level II will basically get them an extra worksheet a week. It’s really not a service or anything advanced, but at least you’ll be able to check the box that they’re receiving advanced work on the referral form for AAP in 2nd grade. [/quote]
