My daughter is same age and there are two practices per week. Indoor practices are at Sandy Spring Friends school and Rockville sportsplex only until spring season starts (maybe April?) and then practices will revert to outdoors at either Sequoyah Elementary and/or Redland park. Games are usually in MoCo, though a couple of tournaments have been maybe 30-40 min away (those were optional). You can always do a test practice or two before committing.
