I do feel bad about taking a slot when we are undecided when I know that there are other students on the waitlist who would jump at the chance to take the slot. But this path preserves the most options (option school, neighborhood school, private school) for now. If we end up keeping the slot, then it worked out for the best. And if we end up declining the slot later, someone from the waitlist will happily take it.
