[/quote] No, families should understand that in the US, governments shift the boundaries of public neighborhood schools on a regular basis. Buying a house on a certain street is never a guarantee of a certain school eight or ten years down the line. In many other jurisdictions, kids change schools the next year - no grandfathering.
