BIDEN/TRUMP -- A Biden/Trump general election, if that's the outcome of the primary season, would represent a battle of markedly unpopular candidates. Among all adults, Biden's approval rating is just 33% in this poll, worse than Trump's low as president (36%) and the lowest since George W. Bush from 2006-2008. Fifty-eight percent disapprove of Biden's work. Among groups, just 31% of women now approve of Biden's work in office, a new low (as do 34% of men). He won 57% of women in 2020. He's at 28% approval among independents, a customary swing voter group; a low of 32% among moderates; and a low of 41% among college graduates, 10 points off his career average in that group.
https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-tops-opponents-biden-hits-new-low-approval/story?id=106335244 Oh my God! This is horrible.
Biden only has a chance in 2024 because his likely opponent is a very weak, awful candidate. Trump only has a chance in 2024 because his likely opponent is a very weak, awful candidate. The 2024 election is shaping up to be the most disgusting spectacle in the history of the world. Seriously, how did we get into such a mess?
Extremists on bith sides.
The extremists have loud squeaky voices and get more attention than they deserve. Their true influence is marginal. Once we get rid of Trump and Biden, a real president can restore some sense of normalcy in Federal Government.
How has Biden not been a normal president?
He is more "normal' than Trump but that bar is set very low and at the end of the day if Biden was ever worthy of the POTUS position, it was 20 to 30 years ago. He is at this point a liability for the country. Is he a better option than Trump? Yes, but that is saying very little.
