[/quote] I don't know how many folks on DCUM have worked in truly toxic environments, but I believe every word of this. For a long time, MCPS Central Office has allowed a "right hand washing the left hand" culture to germinate, and the result is that people feel they have absolute impunity. As essentially the sole employer if you want to teach in a public school and live in Montgomery County, they've never really faced an empowered workforce willing to bring receipts forward. It appears that is beginning to change, but I think we're going to hear a lot more terrible things before real reforms are instituted. [/quote]
