Correct, coaches don't have the charter, the clubs do, at the whim of the GA, or ECNL as the case may be. But there is little incentive for the GA/ECNL to kick out a club because the conference needs the club/players/families in order to make money. The more teams/players, the more money. FCV is the only GA club in town and do quite well. In fact, some teams do very well. So it would make zero sense for the GA to kick FCV out unless there is some other compelling reason not related to performance. They don't really care how you perform as long as you are providing players and filling rosters. Players = $$$. It's all about the bottom line. Sadly, ECNL teams can always get enough players. There are always enough parents who will pay for the opportunity, even if their child isn't really ECNL-caliber.[/quote]
