They got her by accident and after hearing her story and seeing that the alternative was to send her to work for a mean woman as a childcare person at 11 years old they decided it was their "Christian duty" to give her a good home. (I'm actually listening to the new Audible Anne of Green Gables right now and so the details are fresh in my mind!)[/quote]
