I would wait to hear back from Larlo. Colleague was probably mistaken or didn’t know the backstory.
Are they all from the same brick and mortar repair shop? Or are they freelance? I ask because a lot of cable folks back in the day were freelance. We ordered from DishTV and the guy showed up to install. Alas, due to the layout of our backyard, the only place where the dish could get reception was if it were installed on a pole placed smack dab in the middle of our backyard. I told the guy that wouldn't work, so we would need to pass. "Come again?" I told him that DH and I didn't want a pole stuck in the middle of our backyard just to get cable so we were going to pass on the installation. "How the h*ll do you think I am going to get paid for this job?" I was three months pregnant, still riven with morning sickness (all day sickness), but still able to hold my ground and tell him that we were going to pass.
They are the local GE appliance repair reps. I believe they work for GE or for whatever company GE has contracted, but all the receipts say GE. I was not charged for last parts order, but I definitely need the guy that came before. But it's like there's no way to reach him. I'm also really irritated that I took a half-day off work to dick around with this.
