Sheesh you get arrested in Singapore for littering.
Sounds like a feature If I see a plastic bottle or plastic wrapper on the side walk I pick it up and throw it out in a trash can if Im confident I’ll come across one It’s called having a sense of decorum I’d like to see littering being an arrestable offense
You would be great in Singapore! There is litter and random blown-around trash in Singapore, but the difference is that people will just casually pick it up and throw it away- and there are tons of trash cans so it’s easy to do. The first time I ever visited I saw a woman dressed for work grab a straw wrapper off the ground and throw it away without breaking stride. In the US most people would act like they didn’t see it, or if they did pick it up they’d make a big production of encountering it so everyone knows it’s not theirs and then gingerly picking it up and dropping it in the trash in a way that draws attention. And even then it would probably get caught in the trash can flap and blow right back out.
