Spike is MSG with seasoned salt. Add flavors to the recipe yourself (or find a cookbook with more nuance).
Hmm...I've got these as the listed ingredients: Salt Crystals (Earth and Sea), Hydrolyzed Soy Protein (No added MSG), Soy, Granules, Mellow Toasted Onion, Nutritional Yeast, Garlic, Orange Powder, Dill, Kelp, Horseradish, Mustard Flour, Orange and Lemon Peel, Celery Granules, and Powder, Sweet Green And Red Bell Peppers, Parsley Flakes, Celery Root Powder, White Pepper, Turmeric, Rosehips, Summer Savory, Onion Powder, Parsley Powder, Mushroom Powder, Coriander, Fenugreek, Basil, Cayenne Pepper, Spinach Powder, Cloves, Cumin, Ginger, Marjoram, Oregano, Thyme, Tarragon, Cinnamon, Safflower, Paprika, Tomato, Rosemary, Celery Seed. So definitely not Accent with seasoned salt!
NP. Hydrolyzed soy protein contains msg. It’s made by breaking down soy protein into its constituents, one of which, is glutamate. There are loads of people who “avoid msg” and don’t realize that they have been enjoying foods containing hydrolyzed soy protein, yeast extract, vegetable extract, sodium caseinate, etc without incidence. In spike, there is no added msg, just the natural msg from HSP, nutritional yeast, and soy granules. It’s msg and seasoned salt just as PP said.
