Maybe this is all because I am spoiled by being born/raised here, where we have free access to some of the best museums around. I definitely don't mind popping in at the Natural History museum here, and checking out an exhibit or do and then bouncing. But I also don't feel like I need to get my money's worth here because it's free. If I were to pay admission for some science museum somewhere else, well, I'm going to get my money's worth.

There are some decent museums in DC, but they aren’t the be all and end all.  I would never claim they are “the best museums around.”[/quote]
