I bleached my hair and got long blonde extensions. I’ve never gotten so much attention in my life. Can anyone else relate? I can go in public for just a couple hours and get called cute and beautiful by random strangers on the street. I was waiting for my Uber and this random man started calling me gorgeous and asking if I was a model lol. And then he kept offering to drive me anywhere (obviously I said no). Women have been much colder to me though, like a female cashier completely ignored me at a cafe and served everyone else before me. Someone else ended up taking my order. And I’ve only been blonde for a few days. I feel self conscious in a way, since it’s very bright and attention grabbing. And I feel people staring at me in public. I think one woman at my building thought I was a prostitute or something lol (I had boots with big heels on them). And I’m still in my late 20s btw, but my parents live in a fancy condo with a private elevator and most of the people living there are retired wealthy people. I was only visiting for Christmas. I got attention with very long brown hair (and when I say long, I mean like 22 inch extension long). But with blonde hair, it’s like I can’t stand outside for 30 seconds without being accosted or someone commenting on my appearance. And the weird part is, I almost think I look more attractive with BROWN hair lol. But the blonde is just so bright and attention demanding. I also have to wear so much makeup and bronzer because it washes me out so much. I don’t know how I can return to work with hair like this though (I work in a serious conservative environment). So I might have to cut it a bit shorter or tone it down some.
