On my successful IUI cycle I tested starting at 10 days post iui-- it was comforting watching a faint line get darker (this was after a miscarriage and multiple failed cycles including not ovulating even with the meds and timing being off).

dealing with secondary infertility now.  i tested last cycle and found it helpful even though it was negative-- i don't like surprises-- i had a few days to practice acceptance (like at day 10 thinking well it's still possible, by day 13 it was clear it wasn't so i wasn't experiencing any additional upset when I got the call, and frankly would rather learn negative news myself than by a phone call from some random nurse given they're never particularly helpful or warm when it's bad news)[/quote]

NP but IUI often uses Ovidrel, which causes false positives while that is much rarer in IVF.[/quote]

True- by 10dpo usually that's out of your system but lots of people " test it out " - test daily to watch it go away to feel sure that any faint line isn't from it. [/quote]
