Don’t hate me but I looked up my 2020 installation of a carrier infinity furnace (2 stage gas with variable blower motor, 90k btu) and state select hot water heater and it was only 7k. Be sure to shop around.
But that’s only 1/2 of what everyone else got. And it’s Carrier, which is a shitty brand these days. Also, prices have jumped since the pandemic.
+1 I'm the PP that got a heat pump and furnace for $15k. In the quotes that we got 6 months ago, the furnace was much less expensive than the AC or heat pumps. We did get quotes for full HVAC replacement that ranged from around $8k-$27k. Lots of variation in cost depending on what models you chose and who installs them.
