As an UNC alum, i'll add that a HUGE number of my fellow alums ended up in med school or law school. another large portion went on to get PhDs. another large portion in public health. So it's a good school for someone with any of those interests. I'm having trouble interpreting what "the best jobs up north" but I'm assuming capitalistic firms that extract money and hand them to young people from wealthy families. So many Duke has the upper hand in that category of job. The biggest difference between these schools is that Duke has many kids from wealthy families, and UNC has many middle class students. Both have large numbers of smart people.[/quote]
