The treatment for this is probably a miralax/exlax clean out followed by a miralax regimen to support the colon returning to normal. But it’s likely their pediatrician will send them to a gastroenterologist which can take a long time. Are they doing miralax now? What have they tried? Hopkins has a constipation clinic with a psychologist - you should recommend that but the wait for an appointment is long.
