Not a fantasy for me! Feel free to ask me anything. I work at a small niche recruiting agency, make $125k, work about 30 hours per week, and can work from anywhere in the world. A lot of European companies added digital nomad visas during covid where you can stay and work for a year.
As long as you're not an MLM  tell me more. I imagine these jobs are rare.
Definitely not an MLM  I think the key is that I provide a lot of value at a very small company. I control my own schedule. My main candidate pipelines are via job posts on recruiting sites and word of mouth recs from previous people I've placed in jobs so I always make sure to keep a steady stream of candidates coming in. It was a lot of effort up front but now it basically runs on autopilot. I review resumes at my leisure and candidates schedule interviews based on the availability I open on my own calendar. Reference verifications are really the only calls that I'm at the mercy of the reference because I respect the time they're willing to give me. I know my industry and job market inside and out so really it's almost boring at this point, but I'm very thankful for the flexibility. About 2 years after I got this job, we wanted to work towards location independence as a family so my husband began his job search and after 6 months he landed a job with a European company which is fully remote and he can not only work from anywhere in the US or Europe, but also we can tag along on some of his business trips. He also gets European benefits which are great- 25 vacation days, 15 sick days, and 12 holidays.
