They had the forecast in advance plus the same thing happened last year. For the money they are making, I expect them to do a whole lot more than they did. Cover the grass fields ahead of games so that they are playable on game day for example. Arrange for all games to be played on turf; invest in turf if they want to keep hosting it. They had 12 months to figure this out. Having kids and coaches travel there from around the country, spending a lot of money on "mandatory" hotels from which the tournament makes more money, then shortening games to 50 min when the whole point of this showcase is for as many players to be seen by coaches as possible was not the answer and players should absolutely be expecting better. How about relocating this showcase? December in TN is not a good plan, unless the club hosting it wants to invest some money to make it worthwile.[/quote]
