Many people can’t afford to go to a human neurologist, and we don’t tell them to rehome themselves. I am 50 and so grew up in a time when dogs got vaccines and trauma care (stitches or a cast, no surgery) and nothing more. Anything beyond that was considered sort of obscene and wasteful. Most of the world doesn’t provide even basic vet care, let alone specialists. OP should provide whatever level of care she can while avoiding debt.
