Like PPs have said, you’re probably not going to get the full story from her. I’d give her exactly one chance to come clean and then let her know the car will not be going back to school with her. As for covering it, I’d submit to insurance and see what’s left over and let her know that if she doesn’t tell you what really happened, she’s responsible for the remainder of the bill. If this was a matter of assault, I would handle it very differently, but it seems like you are pretty sure her story is BS.[/quote]
