Right now, Independent voters are effectively disenfranchised because they're not allowed to vote in primaries and, in one party places like DC, all the decisions are made in primaries. (If you're waiting until the general election, you're doing it wrong). But there's a ballot initiative coming that would allow Independents to vote in Democratic primaries so their votes would finally make a difference. https://makeallvotescountdc.org/[/quote]
