When in doubt, go with the option that makes the decision to admit you as easy as possible from the school's perspective I guess. People do get a little too hung up on the early acceptance rates though. As Dartmouth has pointed out publicly, recruited athletes already pre-screened and committed to the school skew the numbers. Several schools have much higher percentages of applicants with the legacy connections applying early as well. More people see the %s admitted early though and figure they need to do it too and the wheel continues to turn driving #s up!
