I’m other words, AFTER the parent referral deadline, so get to work on those even if you expect good results.
Which any good AART would tell you to do anyway, if you think your child needs AAP.
But then you have to submit 6 pages of work, right?
2 pages of work samples.
The AART will say the same thing to everyone. She can't tell some parents that "your DC is a shoo-in" and others that "you need to find great examples", right? DD got a very high score on the NNAT. Her teacher gushes about her. If she gets a similarly high score on the COGAT, probably we won't submit work examples. We'd like to find out sooner than later, of course.
I think you misunderstood my previous post. Any good AART should be telling parents to fill out a parent referral if they (the parents) feel their child should be in AAP. AART isn’t saying who should do it or not- if a parent says they think their child should be in AAP, AART would tell you to fill out parent referral because other parents are advocating for their children in that way. FYI - It’s a bad decision to pass on parent submitted work samples even if your kid has great scores. You should submit at least one.
