As did frankly the Odyssey. And to your philosophers I would add the Nichomachean Ethics, Aristotle; Critique of Pure Reason, Kant; some Descartes, probably Discourse on Method. The Art of War by Machiavelli. A Vindication on the Rights of Women, Wollstonecraft. The Second Sex Simone de Bouvoir and The Origins of Totalitarianism by Arendt. [/quote]
