[/quote] Mailing a letter, how to write a check are definitely things kids should learn. How to play "cops and robbers" (which is s dumb game, actually), and monopoly aren't important. Having stated that, my 18 and 15 yr old know how to play Monopoly. They love board games. I hate them. They also know what a DVD. The issue with the simple math problem at the cash register is not a new thing. It happened to me years ago. A woman at the till didn't know how to figure out how much 1/4" x 4 x $3 was. IMO, financial literacy is more important than anything OP has stated, but it's not just Gen Z that needs to learn it.[/quote]
