I was reading another fora and people acted offended that a restaurant didn’t have child accommodations. Other people chimed in saying that they just bring in their own booster or whatever that they take to grandma’s house. It seemed very odd to me. People said it was like the restaurant was trying to send a message that they didn’t want kids or family business. I thought that’s exactly what they are trying to tell you — leave the kids at home. Little kids make huge messes and even if you tip well after a kid makes a mess, it doesn’t make up for the experience of other diners. Then I started thinking that I’m not aware of places that don’t do something for kids. I think even Morton’s and such accommodate kids. [/quote]

We brought our on seat as most are dirty and gross.  And, I don't see why a restaurant needs a kids meal.  They either eat what is offered or you feed them ahead of time.  Kids only make messes because parents let them.  Ours never did and the rare drop of food we'd clean it up.  Its called parenting.[/quote]

Our kids were the same, but you know the situations I’m talking about.

Also, these parents weren’t talking about bringing in a portable high chair or booster bc the restaurant’s was gross. They did it bc they wanted to make a statement to the restaurant and bring their kids.[/quote]
