I don't know how they are getting any school work completed; lots of classes missed. D1 is no joke.[/quote] The bonus of a D1 program is the student-athletes get tutoring, mentoring and class placement etc. It's not easy by any standards but they do have many built-in supports to assist them. Even seeing D3 athletes and the time away from class to travel to games - students have to have good time management, a way to get help from missed classes and exams. Its not easy being a college athlete and student. The programs also report out annually on GPA's - so there is a focus on not just letting the athletes get passing grades. [/quote]
