We know the rule. Republican populist is bad, Democratic populist is good.

Coolidge was probably the most conservative of 20th century presidents. In a traditional, conservative, pragmatic and frugal style. But the US was also a very different place in the 20s, Roosevelt, for example, could not have happened in the 20s.
