Op here-- also elementary teacher. What time do you go to bed? I have teens who are up later due to activities and I find it hard to go to bed earlier to get in the sleep I need to just wake up at 6am. Im already aiming for 10:30. I could wake up at 5, but it seems painful. But maybe I'll have more energy if I do it!
elem pp here - I'm in bet by 9pm, at the latest. Sleep is critical to me getting through the day. How about waking up at 5:30, and doing something short? It doesn't have to be an hour workout. If you wake up earlier, do you think you'd want to go to sleep earlier? Morning workouts aren't for everyone, and that's ok. I have colleagues that do it in the afternoon. I just know that after-work workouts are not possible for for my brain and body.
I'm also completely spent at the end of the day. I do think I could do somewhat from 5:30-6, with weights or yoga videos. I do run on the weekend, but that's really it. I could go to bed earlier but I'll barely see my spouse. It's so hard to balance everything!!
