about 10 years ago several kids gave me really fun Vera Bradley beach towels - I would never have bought them for myself and use them every summer.
Yetis and Hydroflasks are really nice and something a lot of people wouldn't buy for themselves.
I have worked with several teachers with lots of allergies so please don't give food like fancy chocolates (they usually have nut oils in them) unless you know for sure the teacher can eat them.  I once had a kid whose family owned a fancy bakery give me a beautiful cake to enjoy for Christmas dinner (in an area where we went to school until December 23)
This sounds funny but I've been gifted Bombas socks and they are a fun and super useful gift.
Gifts that show you and your kid have paid attention to who the teacher is as a person mean the most.  The book I got about my academic specialty meant a whole lot more than the gift card I got to Lululemon (a place I would never shop).[/quote]
