[/quote] Yes, quite a few colleges have a fall break in October, although they don't all coincide with Columbus Day (UVA had their "fall reading days" from Sept. 30 - Oct. 3). But the authoritative VCU academic calendar denotes the break in November as "fall break," not Thanksgiving break, and makes clear there is no time off in October. [/quote]
