That's why I asked OP what walkable means. People come on here saying they want to walk to shopping like that is hard to find.  So, what is walkable?

Everyone knows what it means.  Walkable means an easy walk to most amenities and not requiring daily use of a car.  It doesn’t mean kids don’t take a bus to school for example.  You’re being obtuse. [/quote]

But what amenities? I WFH (like OP) so I don't need to drive daily. I walk to the park and some restaurants, and I could walk to the grocery if I only wanted to buy what I could carry. I only drive to kid after-school activities. I'm well outside the Beltway, in a regular unplanned suburb.
