The feeling of restriction is absolutely psychological. We don’t have anything that we need that we can’t afford to buy, which means we’re in better shape than 90% of the word.

I don’t actually want a expensive purse, I want to not feel restricted.

I know that comparison is the thief of joy. I have a friend, who travels a bunch and lives like a free spirit, recently confide in being in heavy debt. I though oh, $50k or so…nope $300k of consumer debt….doesn’t own a house. And I was shocked.

Because while I was feeling like “oh wouldn’t it be nice to go on great trips…” they have a stress I can’t imagine. I guess it just goes to show all that glitters.
