Why? Op has experiences with voices already. Why not just schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist noting symptoms to which the doctor can assess the urgency. I am not saying you're wrong as I don't have experience with this type of thing so I genuinely want to know why it's an ER visit.

Op, do the voices ever talk down to you or is this the first aggressive statement? Do they ever instruct or guide your actions? Could this be a side effect from some medicine? Could you have a gas leak or some environmental concern, or do you hear other voices when you are outside of your home too?[/quote]

Op here. I have an appointment with my psychiatrist on Tuesday.

I’ve been on the same medications for years. I don’t think there’s any environmental factors as I’ve been “hearing” voices for years and I hear them everywhere. They usually say nonsensical, harmless things. This is the first time they have been aggressive in any way. [/quote]
