Asian non-athletes have more admission challenges than Asian athletes do. I know of someone who is Asian-American who got into a top-3 Ivy with only average grades, and a solid but not stellar SAT, but she was athletic in a sport other than tennis/squash/swimming. That moved her to the athletic pile - and out of the general pile - for admissions consideration. [/quote]
