On the military-industrial complex, I agree with you. I came of political age during the W Bush administration when the Democrats and the left were antiwar. I think helping Ukraine is important but there should at least be a game plan.

However, Republicans want war with Mexico. They tried to start war with Iran. They’re against normalizing relations with Cuba. They recognize an illegitimate government in Venezuela. They’d probably like war with China, who knows, they talk out of both sides of their mouth. I find it interesting that Republicans suddenly posture as anti-war when it’s Putin, who on cultural issues aligns suspiciously close to them. [/quote]
