Op here. Definitely. Part of the problem is that I moved to Philadelphia. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough about the abuse from my managers. They would use profanity and insult each other and other coworkers behind their backs. The slamming and kicking and throwing stuff bothered me and made me feel unsafe. Once I explained this to my parents they told me to quit asap. If I were doing the job for a lot of money I wouldn't have chosen to be a server at a nursing home in memory care. I would have gone to a regular restaurant. I like seniors and wanted to be around them but I realized the environment is toxic. Also, the dishes and silverware were always dirty and servers would still use them. It was so gross and there was SO MUCH food that was wasted. Loads and loads of fresh food were dumped every day because they couldn't figure out how much to cook. These people are paying at least 6k to eat off of dirty plates, dirty silverware, and dirty drink glasses.
