The "helpful advice" tends to stay in narrow channels like "divorce him!" or "cut mom off completely!" with very little effort to understand the particular's of an OP's situation and even less nuance. With a heavy dose of long paragraphs about the posters' own struggles that may or may not have any bearing on OP's issues. Well, I suppose any forum that corrals the embittered/entitled adult children and gets them off other threads might be helpful to the rest of us.[/quote]
