these all look great if i went electric, any electric kettles you'd recommend? with an electric kettle, i am worried about safety in a house with little kids. obviously i won't leave it unattended but the idea of having a huge amt of boiling water just sitting on the countertop is worrisome
Are you kids able to reach the counter? If not, set it back on the counter and make sure no cords are dangling and it’s no more dangerous than a knife block on the counter or a pot on the stove. If they can reach the counter, they should be old enough to understand not to touch it, just like the hot stove or the knife block. I have a Krups gooseneck electric kettle - I chose stainless steel for aesthetics and to avoid heating plastic. It’s probably discontinued now as it’s at least 10 years old. You can set the temperature and it will keep the water at the same temp for 20 min, which is great because I almost always refill my mug of tea when I’m done.
